Job Title: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor Location: Cambridge- Multiple roles available. Company:1st Staff - Alternative Provision. Job Type: Part-time OR Full-time Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience (Per Hour) Job Description: Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working with children and young adults who require additional support to achieve their educational goals? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you for an SEN Tutor. We are seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to join our team. In this role, you will work with students who have various special educational needs, providing one-on-one support to help them reach their full potential. Your mission will be to empower and inspire students to overcome challenges, gain confidence, and thrive academically. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to identify the student's specific educational needs and develop tailored learning plans. Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning styles. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and motivation. Collaborate with parents to ensure a holistic approach to each student's development. Monitor and track student progress, adjusting strategies and interventions as necessary. Incorporate various teaching techniques and resources to make learning exciting and effective. Stay current on SEN best practices, research, and developments to continuously improve your tutoring methods. Qualifications: A degree in Special Education, Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a tutoring or teaching capacity. Knowledge of various SEN conditions and strategies for supporting them. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of students. Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate diverse learning needs. A clear understanding of educational regulations and policies related to SEN (local and national).
