Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Registered General Nurse to work in our surgical ward at our client's Hammersmith location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Surgical ward experience is desirable but not essential. Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients admitted to the surgical ward, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met. Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to medication management protocols. Monitor patients' vital signs and condition, reporting any changes or concerns to the senior nursing staff. Assist in the coordination and delivery of patient care, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients undergoing surgical procedures. Provide support and education to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and self-care management. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, surgeons, and allied health staff, to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes. Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities to enhance nursing practice and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications: Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Previous experience working in a surgical ward setting is desirable but not essential. Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
