We are looking for a diligent and capable Finance Manager, AAT or part / qualified or qualified by experience, with previous experience in running the finance function of an SME. We are a UK-based Social Care business with the vision of becoming the No.1 employer in the UK in our industry. We have a steep growth plan and you will need to develop quickly in the role with the support of the Operations Director. The successful applicant will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting and finance function, including processing the day to day finance transactions of the business. The business is spread over South and East London and the South of England. You should be flexible to travel regularly to these locations. You will be office based in Central London. Job Description: · Processing the end-to-end accounting functions of the business, including: - Payroll, VAT - Invoicing - Payment runs - Reconciliations - Credit control - Responsible for monthly reporting activities and ensuring that information is presented in a meaningful, transparent, and timely manner - Produce management pack with commentary on any findings with regards to variances and monthly accounts. - Producing monthly management accounts for all business entities along with a consolidated version. - Producing monthly cash flow statement. - To be involved, in operations team and Finance Department special projects, annual budget setting, reporting roll out, finance systems process improvements, modelling work, and any other general requirements. - Responsible for the month and year end processes for departmental budgets, including the posting of accurate accruals, prepayments and deferred income; and to reconcile and provide commentary on any variances to budget and forecast. - Operational support inc; contracts and HR needs from time to time in the business. Key Skills & Qualifications: - Experience of running the finance and accounting function of a small business in the UK - Part / Qualified ACCA/CIMA or AAT Qualified / QBE - Energetic, enthusiastic and a team player – willing to get involved and help out with all duties required to fulfil the finance function of the business. - Able to work independently and autonomously - Excellent communication skills - Experience working with Xero is essential - Advanced knowledge of MS Excel with ability to produce complex financial models Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £50,000.00-£70,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress Gym membership Private medical insurance Sick pay Schedule: Flexitime Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: Bonus scheme Education: Bachelor's (required) Experience: Accounting: 2 years (required) Social Care: 1 year (preferred) Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required) Work Location: In person
