Client Financial Controller - Bristol 2 days in the office / 3 days at home / Bristol based Our client specialises in empowering marketing, PR, and creative agencies with outsourced financial departments, providing critical support for sustainable growth. They offer accounting, bookkeeping and Virtual Finance Director services to agencies and service-based businesses. They're currently recruiting for a Client Financial Controller to be based at the office in Bristol. YOUR NEW ROLE: As a Client Financial Controller, you will be the number two for the CEO, to grow with the business and help take the reigns. You will be responsible for: Overseeing and managing the entire reporting, forecasting and budgeting process for your client portfolio. Optimising cash flow management, profitability, and financial strategies for our clients. Collaborating closely with clients to help improve their financial performance and provide insightful financial data, analysis and advice. Supervision and accuracy of VAT returns, payroll processes and month end close. Taking a proactive approach in consulting, advising our clients, and suggesting improvements to our processes and systems. Leading and managing a dedicated financial team. Implementation, monitoring of our internal financial procedures, and systems to improve operational efficiency within our business. ABOUT YOU: Must be qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA). Must be experienced with Xero Good C suit communicator, must be able to lead conversations with CEO’s, Founders and MD’s Proven experience in financial management roles, especially in forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Extensive supervisory/management experience. Comfortable and experienced in working with outsourced services. Good knowledge of accounting principles Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Working knowledge or 3-way forecasting Exp managing a team (will be a team of 3) Experience working in an accountancy practice is a plus! They're looking for a driven, hardworking candidate and form someon who is able to take ownership of the assigned client portfolio. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain positive client and team relationships are a must. You should be comfortable working in a small business environment, and willing to contribute actively to growth and brand enhancement. Their clients are also small businesses (6 & 7 figure turnovers).
